S2 / E21: Em Roberts, Creator of The Lipstick Fever & The Big Move Podcast

May 10, 2023

Ashley is thrilled to welcome Em Roberts of The Lipstick Fever for a Bizzimumzi chat.

The Lipstick Fever is a style and beauty blog created by Em Roberts in 2015 in NYC. What’s in the name? ‘Lipstick Fever’ is not just about Em’s love for a bold lip – it’s about overall attitude and confidence. There’s something about the right pop of lipstick or easy style tweak to change your overall look (and more importantly, how you feel) in an instant.

In 2017, Em moved to London, taking her love for content creation as well as her followers, international. Since then, she’s traveled throughout Europe, and has embraced London life which is now reflected in her style and overall content. As well, she is a new mom to a baby boy and aims to be an inspiration to the modern ‘mum’ – women who are truly juggling it all.

As an American living in London, Em’s met inspiring women from all over the globe, which prompted her to start The Big Move Podcast. #TheBigMove empowers, motivates, and inspires women to make their ‘big move’, whether that’s moving to a new city or country, or taking more risks in their work life.

On this episode the gals chat about:

  • Growing up in New York City
  • Moving to London and start families in the Big Smoke
  • Navigating Covid with a newborn
  • Identity as a New Mom
  • The importance of Self-Care, Em shares her favourite products
  • Moving back to the USA and planting hometown roots
  • Raising kids in the states where gun violence is on the rise
  • Whats next for Em with content creation and her podcast, The Big Move
  • Words of wisdom for an expecting Bizzimumzi
